Finance Manager

Financial Manager will touch all levels of finance from entry-level bookkeeping to financial modeling for future scenarios.

This position requires mastery over general bookkeeping practices and  experience with financial analysis and forecasting.

This is a mid-range position that will wear many hats. Candidates should be eager to learn and contribute strategically to the company’s future with a strong self-starter disposition. The ability to problem solve quickly and give attention to detail is essential. Familiarity with music royalties is desired, but not required.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
  • Report organization’s finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization
  • Prepare and process payroll
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Issue invoices
  • Use financial modeling to simulate financial scenarios
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Assist outside firm with processing and collection of all necessary tax information
  • Oversee album budgets including tracking expenses and reporting to the team
  • Deliver album expenses for royalty processing
  • Analyze market trends to discover business opportunities and maximize profits
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Communicate effectively at every level of management at Break-Thru Records regarding payment processing
  • Develop trends and projections for company’s finances
  • Explore and present cost-reduction opportunities
  • Generate 1099’s and W2s for all employees and contractors of the company
  • Provide technical support for financial software to management
  • Direct internal and external audits

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Master’s Degree or higher 
  • Great communicator
  • Excellent efficiency with Microsoft © Excel
  • Working knowledge of various financial software
  • Financial certifications

Requirements:

  • Ability to adapt quickly, including learning new skills and catering to the changing needs of the business
  • Analytical skills
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
  • A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
  • Ability to stick to time constraints
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • 3+ years experience in the financial field and a Bachelor’s Degree or higher
